PT. Oceanica Megah Utama was founded in 2006 in Jakarta, started from a small, family-run company, which concentrates in seafood trading, mainly in fresh shrimps for local market. With the support team who have experienced in their field over the decades, we've appointed by Supermarkets Ranch Market Jakarta to supply all their supermarket chain for fresh seafood, especially shrimp.

Since then, we also supply our products to Restaurants and Hotels to Jabotabek (Jakarta-Bogor-Tangerang-Depok) and Bandung – West Java. In 2009, we expanded our business into import of pangasius fish fillets (from Vietnam). Our partner businesses from Vietnam are manufacturers of pangasius fish fillet with high standard quality according to HACCP, which has export to Europe and USA.

In order to maintain the quality, we do QC inspection before shipment to Jakarta and Health Certificate of Authority from Vietnam’s authority is a mandatory. We were able to do import 15-20 container 40’ fcl per year. Our main customer is Aerowisata Catering Service – Garuda Aircraft Catering (one of biggest catering for air plane in Indonesia) and supermarket, hotel and catering in Jakarta.

For the end of 2010, we established PT. Oceanica Megah Utama to wider our business in import. However, for 2011 the month of March, we stopped to do because the Ministry of Marine and Fisheries stopped import pangasius fish fillets to Indonesia. For the moment, we focus on importing fresh and frozen salmon from Norway. Currently, our import quantity is about 300-400 tons per year for fresh salmon and frozen salmon is around 100 ton.
